Marwell, Harefield and cricket
First have released the timetable of the M1 for 2016. That's the summer seasonal link between Eastleigh and Marwell Zoo. New for this year is that a couple of journeys a day are extended from and to Southampton City Centre via Portswood. See details and the timetable here.
First 13 to Harefield is getting some extra journeys from 11th April. Details and timetable here.
First 8 is to get an extra Sunday evening journey to cope with the cricket-watching crowds at the Ageas Bowl. It will depart from Hedge End Station at 1850 each Sunday and starts on 10th April.

Wonder what first are going to change in May,perhaps another major shake-up ,with all the numbers changing again,as not a month seems to go by without First tampering.
ReplyDeleteIt would seem with First the continual tampering with services and routes is all over.I note although not this area, that Dorset area services seem to be in line for another reshuffle
ReplyDeleteThe May changes is for the Summer Timetables
DeleteThere has been a rumour in the Netley area that First 6 - City, Woolston, Netley, Hamble - is to increase to four per hour, but I greet this with some (large!) degree of scepticism. It has varied between 2 and 3 per hour several times, always reverting to 2. Certainly, the local Councillors knew nothing of it when I asked a few days ago. It seems to be related to the large number of 'red' buses out this way now, rather than those in camouflage livery
ReplyDeleteIn observation two is more than enough,so I don't know where this rumour originated unless the First planning department has been taken over by a suicide squad
