  2. Can any person see the point of Bitterne Hoppa 3-In fact the only route in the Hoppa series that has ever really carried anyone is the one via Middle Road and North East Road as most other roads are covered by conventional services already running, and for the roads that arn't,it's just a short walk to a reasonabaly frequent conventional route.

    1. Good Afternoon

Southampton City Council request from one of their elected members that the Hoppa 3 would provide a service to and from the surgery in Thornhill Park Road from Hightown and Sholing.

    1. What will be more interesting will be when First decide to inform the residents of Harefield and Peartree, the reason why the daytime frequency between 0900 and about 1400 hours Mondays to Fridays is being increased.I wonder what cock and bull story they will come up with.

    2. It's probably using the bus off the Bitterne Hoppa. It's what the residents of Harefield have been asking for, so why slag First off for being pro-active in trying to generate more demand.

Unlike Bluestar who just carry on running the 18 to an impossible timetable........

    3. So in your remarks are you implying that Harefield or Peartree would not have had the serviced improved if they had retained the Hoppa contract. It's indeed as you state what Harefield residents wanted but after informing all at the last change it was not commercially viable for a better frequency it would seem to be possible with the lose of the Hoppa to be able too, if that's the reason they will be putting use to the bus currently on the Hoppa. As stated I'm sure they will come up with some cock and bull story. The word commercially viable it would seem only applies to First when it suits them

    4. BS18 has already been given more time, especially in the early eve, which sees the service waiting a while in town,in both directions.

  5. How strange it is that after all the years the Bitterne Hoppa has operated, that under a change of operators the B1 route more or lass becomes a B2, and that the B2 route becomes a B1.It's noted however that the B prefixes have been dropped.
