  1. It should be noted that the short workings by Salisbury Reds service X5 between Salisbury and Larkhill, will be replaced by the new X4.

  2. It's great to see a few late evening services coming back to Marchwood.

I can't for the life of me workoutwhy they don't run more buses through the village.

    1. Years ago Marchwood enjoyed good patronage with locals plus the army traffic. The majority of buses now bypass it.The evenings use to be busy with army personel going out for the evening and returning back quite late. The only reason it has a slightly better service today,is due to the fact a few years ago First competed with it and Bluestar hit back by running more journeys.Regretfully the First venture was not successful and after a short period of operation the service was withdrawn. It was expected after this Bluestar would have reduced the timetable again, but thankfully this did not happen. What I like about Bluestar is that if they have an ailing service, they give it a good shot to put it right before withdrawing it or modifying it,whereas First pull the plug on it post-haste
