No buses on New Year's Day
No buses will be running on New Year's Day with just one exception: that free Citylink bus that hardly any locals use between Central Station and the Red Funnel ferry terminal.
In fact there are more buses running on New Years Day than most people realise.
For those people shopping and working in Winchester from the outlying parts there is quite a good service of free vintage buses between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm
A 47 H&D bus is due to leave from Southampton Civic Centre Rd at 9.05 am for Winchester. There should be a return journey between 3.30 and 4.30 pm.
