New Stagecoach website / New Xelabus timetables offline only

Stagecoach have finally revamped their website and it's far better than their old one. It now works on mobiles and provides easy access to timetables and details of buses about to depart from stops near your current location.

It also includes details of single and return fares. This is for a journey on the 66 from Romsey to Winchester:

It doesn't seem to cope well with day tickets though. The cheapest day ticket valid on the 66 is the Stagecoach South DayRider Gold at £8, but their website pushes you towards the Discovery ticket at £8.50. It also ignores the daily version of Solent Go at £8, which is also valid on all buses in Greater Southampton, regardless of operator.

Xelabus have released their new timetables starting from 4th January... on paper only. They're neither on the Xelabus website nor on Traveline.

  1. The Xelabus new timetables may appear on Traveline as from 10th December 2015 as it's usual they update on Thursdays each week

  2. The Stagecoach next bus info available through the website should be real time too, which is a major advance and puts the info to the same level as is available for trains. However, there seem to be a few glitches with the new website at present . . .

    1. Yes; it is real time. But as you say it has a few glitches. All the same it is a great advance and really useful for the 46 and PS1 buses.

  5. The revised timetable for First Southampton 13 as from 3rd January 2016 is now showing under forthcoming timetables on their website. Just for a change this time most journeys run 25 minutes later than they do at present. There are also minor changes to a number of red routes affecting Saturdays where as usual the planners just can't stop tinkering around with things.

    1. Just saw the forthcoming timetables and the 11 will run every 8/9 mins during the daytime, whilst other red routes will have to wait till 10/11am on Sats for the high frequency to kick in.
