Therefore, the businesses make business decisions, just like any other industry. What I find on this blog is the volume of opinion of how the businesses operate - I wonder if there is a blog about than looks at supermarkets in a town - "Southampton Supermarket update", where people are commenting about whether stores are open, the times they are open, the amount of heinz beans are stocked compared to own brand beans and so on. At the end of the day customers choose which ever supermarket (sorry bus company) than serves their needs and a lot of time it is about convenience (which ever bus comes along first - where there is competition. In Bournemouth they are running a few routes on a Sunday Timetable, example of services 5/6 16/17. In Southampton they are running an improved service comparing to NYD 2018. For example, service 12 to Calmore is running pretty much a Sunday timetable this year, whilst on last year there was 4 return journeys. It is not the same as Stagecoach, but who knows what happens next year... with these simple gestures you can take away SOME patronage from competitors. First, unfortunately, is not following the modern times, and have two days off (Christmas and NYD). Yellow buses in Bournemouth does not run on Christmas but does on NYD on a special timetable.<br />Always interesting to see the industry and each having their own strategy.
